The Machine range gives fans of his game a set of options rather than one fixed dart, and the Two Tone is its coated flagship.

Black and blue over 90% tungsten

The barrel is a straight 90% tungsten profile finished in a two-tone black and blue coating, machined with grip sections along its full length. All three weights share the same 50.4mm barrel length, so stepping up or down changes the diameter rather than the feel of the grip — 6.1mm at 21g, 6.4mm at 23g and 6.6mm at 25g.

Volute points as standard

Unicorn fit their patented Volute point, a CNC helix design that increases the surface area biting into the sisal. In practice that means fewer bounce-outs without chewing up the board. James Wade's own Ultrafly flights and Gripper shafts complete the set, and every barrel is weight certified to ±0.1g with the engraved Unicorn hallmark. Not sure which weight to pick? What are Unicorn Volute points and can I keep using them?

Volute is Unicorn's patented point profile — a CNC-cut helix that increases the surface area gripping the sisal, which cuts bounce-outs without tearing the board. They are fitted as standard here and are a fixed steel point, so there is nothing to maintain beyond the occasional sharpen.

Do all three weights feel the same in the hand?

Broadly yes. Unicorn kept the barrel length at 50.4mm across 21g, 23g and 25g and added the weight as diameter — 6.1mm, 6.4mm and 6.6mm. Your grip position stays where it is; the barrel just fills the fingers a little more as you go up.

How is the Two Tone different from the other James Wade Machine darts?

The Machine is a family rather than a single dart. The Two Tone is the coated 90% tungsten version in black and blue with Volute points fitted. The 80% Machine sets are uncoated or differently finished and sit at a lower price. Same player, different barrel spec.
