The range

All 90% tungsten: the Glacier, Midnight, Firebird and Avalanche Gold, the Blue Originals and its Blue Ice and Element special editions, and the Blue Original (SP) — the same familiar barrel brought into Red Dragon's Switch Point system.

Standard or (SP)?

The difference isn't the barrel shape, it's what happens at the front end. An SP barrel takes Red Dragon and Winmau's Switch Point interchangeable points on an M2.5 thread — change point length, finish or style in seconds with a small tool, no repointing machine. Red Dragon markets the system as universally compatible with the other major M2.5 ranges including Target Swiss Point and Harrows Quick Points. If you like tinkering with point length, buy the SP; if you've settled on a setup, the standard editions play identically.
