Description

Shot - Willie O'Connor Magpie - 90% Tungsten Darts (TP)

Willie O'Connor's straight barrel, finished in black

The Magpie is the second Willie O'Connor dart in Shot's Pro Series, and it's the moodier of the two. It keeps the same straight 90% tungsten barrel and signature rear-grip push point as his match dart, but swaps the Irish green and orange for a black titanium finish in midnight Magpie colours. It's centre-balanced like the original, so you get the same steady, repeatable release with a lower-key look on the oche.

Front ring cuts broken up by milled slots

Grip is concentrated through the centre and front. Shot cut traditional rings into the barrel, then run precision-milled slots through them to create sharper edges that bite without tearing at your fingers. The 3/5 rating makes it a good all-rounder that won't feel too aggressive over a long session. At 50mm long and 6.6mm to 6.8mm wide, it's slim and straight, which helps when you're trying to stack darts in the treble.

Turbo Points and the match version

The set comes with 30mm black Turbo Steel Tip Dart Points fitted on Shot's threaded system, so you can swap in a different length or a grippier point like the Turbo RS without changing barrels. If you'd rather have Willie's green and orange colours, his Willie O'Connor match dart is the same barrel shape. Spare Willie O'Connor No.6 flights are available too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it called the Magpie?

The Magpie is Willie O'Connor's nickname. This edition takes his signature barrel and finishes it in black titanium, a darker look to match the name.

Is the Magpie the same barrel as Willie O'Connor's match dart?

Yes. It's the same straight 90% tungsten barrel with the same ring cuts, milled slots and smooth rear push point. Only the finish is different.

What weights and sizes is the Magpie available in?

We stock 23g (6.6mm x 50mm) and 24g (6.8mm x 50mm). Both are straight, centre-balanced darts with a 3 out of 5 grip.

What's in the box with the Willie O'Connor Magpie?

Three Willie O'Connor Magpie 90% tungsten darts with 30mm black Turbo Steel Tip Points fitted, three Willie O'Connor No.6 flights, three Koi Carbon shafts with spring rings (Inbetween length), the Turbo Point tool and a Shot guarantee card.
