Solid at its core, the centre-weighted Defiant is exactly what its name promises. Designed in close collaboration with PDC World Champion Michael Smith and crafted by Shot's Dartisans for prestige and precision, it's a red, jet and platinum triple threat — a black titanium coated barrel cut with an arrow-sharp red V indent in tribute to Michael's hometown of St Helens.

The St Helens V, read by hand

Finely milled cuts encircle the nose as an opening reference, followed by a matrix of cuts oscillating between hold and release. Grid-cut rings at the centre divide the front and rear grips, informing finger placement, and toward the rear Smith's signature St Helens V is cut into the barrel — the grooves between re-machined into a strong edge for a sure throw, with tail-end cuts allowing finely tuned placement. A balanced 3/5 overall, across four weights from 22g to 25g.

The Defiant joins a crowded Bully Boy shelf: his match dart the Achieve, the front-weighted Believe and the Game Day cover other moods, while his Bully Boy Gold No.2 flights and black tactical case finish the kit.
