The Koi stem in Michael Smith's red, carrying the St Helens V design. It is the same shaft Shot build for the rest of the Koi range - the colour is the only thing the world champion's name changes.

Two-pointed taper and located flights

Koi stems use a two-pointed taper so the shaft is thickest where it needs to be, right up to where it meets the flight. Multiple fillets at the tip help locate the flight while reducing deflection and limiting breakages, and chamfered cuts at the right depth hold the flight securely and flush inside the stem rather than proud of it.

Carbon composite, not nylon

Crafted from tough carbon composite - stiffer and lighter than a moulded nylon stem of the same length, so it flexes less on impact and survives being clipped by an incoming dart far better. Fits both steel tip and soft tip darts.

Spring rings included

Each pack ships with spring rings fitted, so the flight is held under tension from the first throw rather than needing an aftermarket ring added.
