Shot broke the grip scale again — the Gnarly range just keeps getting filthier, and the Smasha is its wrecking ball. Shot cheekily rate the hold at "7 out of 5", and while our scale stops at the maximum 5, this is genuinely one of the most aggressive grips in our entire catalogue. Fingers, consider yourselves warned.

Three stages of savage

The rear is stacked with slicey, angular shark-ring hybrid grip — notched and built for fast, explosive throws. Mid-barrel, dorsal-fin-inspired shark cuts bring a thick, consistent hold. Up front it's twisted metal energy: deep grooves and an angular profile that slam the balance forward so the 90% tungsten barrel crashes through contact nose-first. The tapered barrels grow with weight: 7.5mm x 46mm at 23g, 7.6mm x 47mm at 24g and 7.6mm x 49mm at 25g, tipped in black high tensile points.
