Snakebite Mamba 2: Peter Wright's quest for perfection

Nobody in darts chases the perfect set like Peter Wright — and remarkably, he believes the Mamba is where he found it. The story starts with his Euro 11 darts: brilliant on stage, but demanding too many setup changes in varying conditions. Red Dragon rebuilt from the Euro 11's principles with an uncompromising brief — a grip that was more aggressive yet subtle enough not to stick in his hand, length and balance identical to the Euro 11 in every way, and looks that reflect his stage persona.

Tri-directional milling: rings, buttress and Delta-Tech in one pattern

The answer is Red Dragon's multi-milled tri-directional technology: a triple groove pattern combining rings, buttress cuts and bespoke Delta-Tech machining on one barrel — three grip textures working together at 4/5 without any single one dominating. The 90% tungsten barrel runs a slim 54.6mm (6.2mm at 22g, 6.6mm at 24g), among the longest in our range, with centre balance and a tapered nose. Wright himself was blown away — he originally threw the 24g, then switched to the 22g after finding it worked better at events and on TV than in his practice room, and declared the result "obscenely good".
