Red Dragon - Jonny Clayton Hiraeth - 90% Tungsten Darts (SP)

Red Dragon - Jonny Clayton Hiraeth - 90% Tungsten Darts (SP)

The Ferret's full tour setup, points and all

This is the Switch Point edition of the Hiraeth - Jonny Clayton's signature configuration supplied exactly as he throws it on stage, rather than as barrels you then have to build around. The 90% tungsten barrels carry the raw shot-blast finish inspired by the Welsh valleys that gives the range its name, with precision-milled grip zones set at the key contact points and red accents running through a modern tapered profile. Two weights on a 50.8mm length: 6.5mm at 22g and 6.7mm at 23g, centre balanced, at a measured 3/5 grip.

Switch Point technology, universally compatible

The barrels run Winmau's Switch Point system with Jonny's competition-spec 37.5mm Silver Chain Pro points fitted, and a Switch Point tool in the box for fast, secure swaps. The thread is deliberately open: Switch Point is cross-compatible with Target Swiss Points, Harrows Quick Points and Caliburn Evo EZ Points, so your point style is a two-minute decision rather than a new set of darts. Winmau's own Groove, Wave and Smooth Switch Points are all stocked here if you want to change the bite at the front.

SP or standard - which Hiraeth to buy

The difference is the front end and the flights. The standard Hiraeth gives you the same barrel on fixed black high tensile points with Red Dragon flights and shafts, for less outlay. This SP version adds the Switch Point system, the tool, and Jonny's actual match-day Nitro Flite Kite flights in black and red - the complete tour configuration. If you want to tinker with point length and weight distribution, buy SP; if you throw and leave it alone, the standard set is the value pick. Both sit alongside his Premier League SE and Gold on the Clayton shelf.
