Mission - BLUPRNT SKTCH - 90% Tungsten Darts (RP)

The straight barrel, stripped back

SKTCH is 001 in Mission's BLUPRNT range and the one most players should look at first. It is a classic straight barrel in 90% tungsten with an even balance and a short, smooth bull nose, so it sits neutral in the hand and does not push you towards a front or rear grip. It comes in 23g and 25g, both at 50mm long.

Beaded rings from nose to rear

Instead of sharp grooves, Mission has cut radial rings that leave rounded, beaded sections between them. There are four wider beads at the front, three at the rear and a tighter run of smaller beads through the middle, so you can feel where you are on the barrel without it biting into your fingers. Mission rates it 6/10, which we would call a 3/5: a comfortable middle-of-the-road grip.

Compared with the Nightfall M1

If you like a straight Mission barrel, the Nightfall M1 is the obvious comparison. Both have a bull nose and a ringed grip, but the Nightfall is longer at 54mm, adds a black and blue electroplated finish and comes as a full set with flights and shafts. SKTCH is a shorter 50mm barrel in bare tungsten, and puts the money into the barrel and points instead.

Barrels and points only

There are no flights or shafts in the SKTCH box, just the barrels, 35mm silver MG1 R2.5 Rapid Points and the tool to fit them. Most players change the flights and stems that come with a new set anyway, so this keeps the price down and lets you build it your way. Mission recommends Force 90 Vortex No.2 one-piece flights, and if you want more bite at the point, GV1 and RVX R2.5 points screw straight in.
