Description

Shot - Bandit 4th Generation Dartboard

The original bladed dartboard, four generations on

In 1992, at their factory in New Zealand, Shot created the Bandit - the world's first bladed bristle dartboard, the innovation every modern staple-free board descends from. Thirty years later the Bandit is still the name on the patent-holder's flagship, and the 4th Generation is its sharpest form yet: a full-size 18" x 1.5" board built to World Darts Federation specifications.

A chamfered steel bull and 0.8mm blades

Generation 4's headline is at the centre: a one-piece bullseye precision-machined from high-tensile stainless steel that resists bending through years of punishment, with an inner chamfer that funnels darts into the bull rather than deflecting them off its rim. Around it, the stainless knife wire runs 59% stronger than traditional bladed wires at just 0.8mm thick - half the thickness of conventional wire - handing back 14% more playing area in every segment. The tape-free, high-depth African sisal does the rest, healing behind every pull.

Everything in the box, right down to the throwline

The puck wall bracket mounts on any wall and lets the board rotate without ever coming off it, and Shot even include a measuring tape for marking the hanging height and throwline, plus a handbook with a checkout chart and dart games - a genuinely complete setup kit. It heads our Shot board range above the Ranger, and throws beautifully with Michael Smith's Game Day darts from Shot's pro stable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes with the Bandit 4th Generation?

The board, the Shot puck wall bracket, a measuring tape for marking out mounting height and the throwline, and an instructional handbook with a checkout chart and popular dart games.

Why is the Bandit historically important?

In 1992 Shot created the Bandit at their New Zealand factory as the world's first bladed bristle dartboard - the innovation every modern staple-free board is built on. This is the fourth generation of the original.

What is new in the 4th Generation?

A one-piece stainless steel bullseye, precision machined with high tensile strength to resist bending, with an inner chamfer that funnels darts into the bull. The knife wire is 59% stronger than traditional bladed wires yet just 0.8mm thick - 50% thinner than conventional wire - handing back 14% more playing area in every segment.

How does the Bandit mount and rotate?

The puck wall bracket makes installation simple on any wall, and the board rotates without ever coming off it - so spreading the wear takes seconds, and the removable number ring drops straight back in place.
