How Swiss Point works
Target developed Swiss Point over three years to replace the repointing machine — the expensive, cumbersome kit that made changing points inaccessible for most players and often damaged barrels in the process. A patented locking system combining a machined taper and thread holds the point secure through play, and the whole change is done with the pocket-sized Swiss Point tool. Each point also carries an engineered groove so that even a broken point can still be gripped and backed out with the tool, rather than sending the dart away for repair.
Fitment
Target states Swiss Points are designed for Target SP barrels. They belong to the wider M2.5 threaded family, and Winmau and Red Dragon market their Switch Point barrels as compatible with Swiss Point among other systems — so cross-brand use is claimed by those makers. If you're fitting to a non-Target barrel, go by that barrel manufacturer's stated compatibility.
