Target Japan is the Japanese division of Target Darts, one of the world's leading dart manufacturers. While Target's UK operation supplies the PDC Tour and produces player signature ranges, Target Japan develops specialist products for the Asian soft tip market — darts engineered with a precision and attention to detail that has earned a cult following among players worldwide.
What Makes Target Japan Different?
Japanese Manufacturing Standards
Target Japan darts are machined to tolerances that exceed standard production runs. Every barrel is individually inspected, with micro-grip patterns cut using multi-axis CNC lathes capable of details finer than 0.01mm. The result is a level of consistency between darts in a set that you can physically feel.
Exclusive Designs
Target Japan produces barrel profiles not available in the standard Target range. These are designed specifically for the Japanese throwing style — typically a shorter, sharper release with less follow-through — but the resulting darts often suit European players who prefer front-loaded or centre-balanced barrels.
Premium Materials
Most Target Japan barrels use 95% tungsten as standard (rather than 90% which is more common in UK ranges), producing slimmer barrels for any given weight. This allows tighter grouping and more room in the treble bed.

Black Marque Series

The Zenith series offers straight-barrel precision at various price points. The Gen2.5 Straight is the latest evolution — a minimal, no-nonsense barrel for players who want pure control without design embellishment.
K-Flex Integrated Flight Darts
Target Japan pioneered the K-Flex integrated flight system. These darts eliminate traditional flights and shafts in favour of a one-piece moulded polymer flight that never needs replacing. Available in the Zenith K-Flex and 2026 Limited Edition K-Flex models.
Charis (Cathy Leung Signature)
The Charis Gen6 is the signature dart of Hong Kong's Cathy Leung — a front-loaded design with aggressive knurled grip zones. Now in its sixth generation, it's been refined through years of international competition use.
PW (Pupo Teng Lieh Signature)
The PW Gen3 is designed in collaboration with Taiwanese player Pupo Teng Lieh. A distinctive barrel with pronounced grip sections and a centre-balanced weight distribution.
Steel Tip vs Soft Tip
While Target Japan's heritage is in soft tip darts (the dominant format in Japan), all ArrowHeadz Target Japan stock is available in steel tip configurations for UK bristle boards. The barrel designs are identical — only the point differs.
