Gone but never forgotten

Darts lost Andy "The Viking" Fordham in July 2021, at just 59. The 2004 BDO World Champion was one of the most popular players the sport has produced — a huge presence at the oche and a bigger one off it — and Winmau's Special Edition is a legend-status replica of the darts he threw, made to keep his memory on the board.

Short, broad and blue

The 90% tungsten barrel is a compact one: 7.85mm across just 40.6mm, which packs the full 24g into a short, wide grip that fills the hand. Finished in blue and silver with matching Viking-branded flights, it is a distinctive set on any board.

A single weight, as Andy threw it

Winmau produced the Special Edition in 24g only — the weight Andy played — so there is no range to choose between. Our weight guide is there if you want to check that 24g suits your throw before committing.

40.6mm is very short — who does that suit?

Players who grip well forward and want the whole dart inside the hand. Packing 24g into 40.6mm makes for a wide 7.85mm barrel, which fills the fingers and gives a very positive, deliberate feel. If you hold a dart towards the back, a longer barrel will suit you better.
