A blunt or burred point is the commonest cause of a bounce-out, and it happens gradually enough that most players do not notice until they are three legs into a bad night. This sharpener lives on your keys, so it is with you whether or not you remembered to pack the dart wallet.

How to use it

Drop the point into the recess and rotate the dart a few turns. The aim is a slightly rounded tip rather than a needle — a true point pierces the sisal and holds, while an over-sharpened one splits the fibres and damages the board. A few seconds per dart before you play is plenty.
