What changing point length actually does

It moves a small amount of weight towards the front, which changes how the dart sits in the air and how it enters the board. Plenty of players never touch this; the ones chasing the last bit of consistency tune it carefully. Having both options in the box costs nothing either way. The BOA is a rigid case rather than a fabric wallet, so flights survive the journey in a bag.
