Bolide 05: the bomb barrel of a five-shape range

Target's Bolide range takes one design language and machines it into five different barrel shapes — a solution for every grip and playing style. The 05 is the short-and-wide member of the family: a 44mm bomb barrel in 90% tungsten, front-weighted for players who like the mass sitting right behind the point. Our first review sums it up in one word: mint.

Radial cuts plus a hand-sandblasted surface

The grip works on two levels. Precise radial grooved cuts provide the structure, while a hand-sandblasted coating adds a fine matte texture across the whole surface — grip you can feel even between the cuts, without pushing the overall rating past a versatile 3/5. It's a different route to traction than deep machining, and it gives the Bolide its distinctive soft-touch feel. Two weights are offered, with the 24g adding 0.4mm of diameter on the same 44mm length.

The Bolide is built on Target's patented Swiss Point system with silver Swiss Points fitted — swap your point length, style or colour in seconds with the included pocket-sized SP tool (spare keys here).
