The surround that stopped being flat

Almost every surround ever made is a flat ring. The Subterra is not: Precise 180 have moulded a genuine three-dimensional structure into the face, so it catches light and shadow the way a textured wall panel does and reads as a design piece rather than a foam hoop. It is the most interesting-looking thing you can put around a dartboard, and it sets a new standard for what this accessory is allowed to be.

Six centimetres of newly developed foam

Depth is the substance behind the styling. At 6cm thick the Subterra is nearly twice the depth of a standard 3.5cm surround, in a newly developed high-quality foam built for maximum durability - so a firmly thrown dart buries itself and stops a long way short of the wall, and the surface closes up behind it rather than tearing. That protects your darts as much as your plaster: points that meet dense foam stay sharp.

Graphite or Nordic Grey, on any steel board

Both colourways are deliberately muted architectural tones, chosen to let the 3D texture do the talking. It fits all standard steel tip dartboards - 44.5cm inner, 68cm outer, about 12cm of protection all round - and installs the usual way: no mounting material, no fixings, hang it over the board and throw. It sits at the top of a Precise 180 surround range that also runs the Nordic Grey Signature and Black Spectrum, and pairs naturally with their Endorphine Classic White board.
