The Mission Lava is built to intimidate: high-grade 95% tungsten under a black PVD coat, with red electro-plate glowing through the milled cuts like magma through cooling rock. It's one of the densest barrels in our Mission range, packing serious weight into a controlled profile.

The volcano effect

The design does something genuinely clever with its grip zones: the centre scallop and tapered front nose carry red milled cuts for the volcano effect, while the rear section stays completely smooth apart from a laser-etched Mission logo — a gentle 2/5 hold concentrated where the scallop guides your fingers, with a clean release surface behind. The front tapers naturally into a black point, and both weights hold a 50mm length: 7mm at 22g and 7.5mm at 24g.
