Unicorn - Contender Dartboard

Unicorn - Contender Dartboard

The starter board that stacks the odds your way

Unicorn built the Contender around an honest question: what is the point of playing darts if you cannot enjoy it yet? For a newcomer, the winning double and that first treble 20 can feel impossible - so the Contender makes them twice as likely, with doubles and trebles 50% larger than a standard board and an outer bullseye 25% bigger. More scoring, less frustration, and a far better chance the new player comes back tomorrow.

Real competition construction underneath

The forgiving layout sits on genuine competition-quality bristle - this is a proper sisal board, not a toy. High-quality round wire divides the beds, SuperSlim wire fasteners hand back playing area that cheaper boards lose to hardware, and the bullseye is staple-free so the centre plays clean. Every skill built here transfers straight to a regulation board.

Graduation is the goal

The Contender is designed to be outgrown - once you are hitting what you aim at, Unicorn's traditional-size range awaits: the Striker as a value step, or the Eclipse Pro 2 the professionals play on TV. And when you want the opposite philosophy - targets deliberately smaller than regulation to sharpen a developing game - the Eclipse HD Trainer is the Contender's mirror image.
